 Evaluation

Overview

Building an agency that values and utilises diversity effectively is a continuing process. Senior management needs to regularly assess how the agency is faring in terms of their performance indicators and legal obligations.

An agency’s obligation to Equity and Diversity is more than just establishing a program.

It is recommended that all equity and diversity programs and plans are evaluated regularly and updated according to findings. There are also requirements to annually evaluate and report equity and diversity programs.

Are we making progress towards achieving our objectives?

Evaluation will establish the effectiveness of workplace diversity strategies and help assess why particular outcomes occurred. Data gathered during planning can be compared with the information gathered for evaluation. Both quantitative and qualitative data will help assess the effectiveness of the program.

The results of the evaluation are then considered by the agency. The results will be useful in either modifying existing strategies or developing new strategies.
